Flightlyy stores aviation information locally and separates public pages from provider API calls. This makes cached and historical information available when a provider is temporarily unavailable.
Data model
Airports and airlines are imported into MySQL. Flight records store schedules, operational status, aircraft, live position, provider timestamps and the original provider response.
